Remote Staffing for Alberta Businesses
Managed remote staff on Mountain Time for Calgary, Edmonton, and Red Deer companies. Built for Alberta's energy and energy-services operators, professional services firms, and SMBs.
Why Alberta Businesses Are Going Remote
Alberta's economy is anchored by Calgary, Canada's energy capital and the headquarters city for most of the country's oil and gas majors (Suncor, Cenovus, Canadian Natural, TC Energy, Enbridge). Calgary also has the highest density of corporate head offices per capita in Canada. Edmonton rounds out the province with heavier industrial, construction, and public-sector employment. Alberta's labor market is cyclical, tied closely to commodity prices, which makes flexible staffing more valuable than in more stable provincial economies. When capex picks up, energy-services operators need back-office and documentation capacity quickly; when it slows, they want that capacity to shrink without severance.
Alberta also has the lowest provincial tax burden in Canada and no PST, which has drawn a wave of inbound migration from Ontario and BC (per Statistics Canada interprovincial migration data). That has pushed housing costs up in Calgary and tightened the skilled labor market in professional services and trades. Teckas is used by Alberta energy operators for invoicing, field ticketing, and compliance support, by Calgary CPAs and law firms for bookkeeping and paralegal work, and by SMBs for VAs and admin.

How Working in Alberta Mountain Time Works
Alberta runs on Mountain Time and observes DST (unlike Arizona). India is 11.5 to 12.5 hours ahead. A 9am to 6pm MT Calgary shift is roughly 8:30pm to 5:30am IST in summer and 9:30pm to 6:30am in winter. We staff dedicated full-time teammates for that shift so coverage is real, not an overlap window.
Compliance and Employment Notes
Teckas staff are employees of Teckas Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in India, not Alberta employees or Canadian contractors. Alberta Employment Standards, WCB premiums, CPP, and EI do not apply to the engagement. Alberta has no provincial payroll tax (no EHT like Ontario or BC), so the cross-border math is even cleaner. For energy and regulated clients we sign NDAs, DPAs, and PIPEDA-aligned data handling addenda on request. USD invoicing by default; CAD available.
